I was born in Becej in 1972. where I have lived since 2006. I attended primary and high school in my home town. After finished high school I began working. In 1992. I attended High scool in informatics. After the first year I was employed in joinery corporation. In 1994. I got injured during my work after which I became disabled and user of wheelchairs.
In 2001. I started practicing sport as a recreative and playing basketball in wheelchairs. In 2002. my friends and Zlatko Kesler talked me into table tennis – just to see if I can do it, and eventually to play on republic competition.
In 2003. I began with playing table tennis in STK“SPIN“ together with Nadom i Zoranom Matic. After eight months of practicing I went on my first international competition where I was classified T4. That tournament was ment for me to meet other players and see their techinques if they were about to be my potential competitors in case I decide to continue with table tennis.
In 2004. on World championship in Lasko, with partner Nada Matic, I won my first medal, team bronze. That was the motivator which kept me in the world of table tennis and made me try to get to the top. Thanks to everyday practice and Zlatko Kesler I made a great progress and in 2006. I reached my first final and my first individual silver medal in Lasko, Slovenia. After that medal, I have played in finals again wining silver in Slovakia. That same year in Wupertal, Germany, I won my first gold.
In 2007. my goal was to qualify for the Olympic games, and in the whole past year I was working hard in all tournaments, winning poents and better qualifications. All my efforts are rewarded by great success on European championship in Kranjska Gora, where I received silver medal in team competition level with my team players, Nada Matic and Zorica Popadic. The greatest succes was winning gold medal in single competition which lead me directly to Olympic games competition. After that succes, I received award as the best sportsman among disabled persons of city of Novi Sad, state of Vojvodina. City of Becej awarded me with special gratitude for achieved results.
In 2008. I brought a gold medal from every competition I have been – world championship in Liverpool (GB), Lako (Slovenia), Cetniewo (Poland), Pjestani (Slovakia), Cluj-Napoca (Romania). The most valluable among all medals I have won is the silver I brought from the Paraolimpyc games in Beijing (China) in 2008. In 2008. I became the owner of the prize Jovan Mikic Spartak. I also received awards from state of Vojvodina, sport aliance of Novi Sad, city of Becej (special award), „Dnevnik“ tv show (special award) and the Olympic committee of Serbia (speacial award for received silver medal on Paraolympic games in Beijing). Also, Paraolympic committee of Serbia pronounced me as the best sportsmen in 2008.
My dream has finally come true as I am a proud representative of my country on international scene. With great dignity and proud I wear the dress of my country.
