I was born in 16. July 1957. in Benakovac (Bosnia and Herzengovina). I was two years old when I got infantile paralysis. After that I spent all my life in hospitals and rehabilitation centers.
I had finished primary and high school in the House for disabled persons in Dubrava – Zagreb. After that I had finished High electrotechnical school in Subotica.
Back in the House I have been playing several sport disciplines (table tennis, sitting volleyball, wheelchair basketball) since I was 10 years old. Since there weren’t organizations and tournaments at that age level, untill 1988. I practiced two sports – sitting volleyball and table tennis.
I was a member of Yugoslav representation in sitting volleyball, and won 3 medals in Sarajevo in 1987, silver at European championship, and in 1988. I won World and European championship silver in Norway. At Paraolympic games in Seoul (South Korea) I took part as a member of two Yugoslav sport representations and won fourth place in sitting volleyball and table tennis.
Afterwards I have kept on competing just in table tennis and won 5 medals:
In 1984. at Paraolympic games in New York I won bronze medal in singles
In 1989. at European championship in Vienna, Austria I won silver in doubles.
In 2001. at European championship in Frankfurt, Germany I won gold medal in doubles.
In 2005. at European championship in Italia I won gold medal in doubles.
In 2007. at European championship in Slovenia I won bronze in doubles.
Even now I play table tennis activly and participate in tournaments as a member of table tennis club SPIN. Sport was always a big part of my life, a has brought me a beautiful moments in life. It made possible to me to travel through all continents and states all over the world.
